The Shops on Central

Located at 227 Central Street in Chester, in a grey house set back from the road on a treed and grassy oasis, The Shops on Central is a social enterprise operated by Bonny Lea Farm. 

The Shops are comprised of the Garden Café, The Market, and Bonny’s Boutique Thrift Shop, employing adults living with a disability.

Garden Café offers a variety of hot and cold beverages, fresh baked goods, and other sweet treats.

The Market sells products that are made with pride here at Bonny Lea Farm and other social enterprises across Nova Scotia.

Bonny’s Boutique Thrift Shop, is a clothing store offering style on a budget and made possible with the generous donation of quality clothing from our community.

As a workplace, The Shops on Central offers employees opportunities to learn, grow and succeed, building their self-respect, dignity, integrity and productivity. Employees are set on a course for success using a model of empowerment, motivation, encouragement and collaboration.
