Bonny Lea Farm Takes the Stage with Something’s in the Air!

Bonny Lea Farm, The Chester Playhouse and the Department of Communities, Culture & Heritage present, Something’s in the Air.

Participants have been rehearsing for months to bring this play to the stage. They have also been busy designing their costumes and building parts of the set. Be sure to come out and see this play, which showcases the many abilities of people living with disabilities. 
 

Working to Increase Comfort & Safety for Participants and Staff

Over a year ago we began efforts to install automatic generators in our homes to provide seamless power supply. In recent months local Lions Clubs have made donations towards this project, however we still have a long way to go…

 

A “ton” of Traps

Earlier this month Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre ordered 40 of our small lobster traps for the first annual For the Love of Lobster event on February 12. Our workshop met the order and also made the 10 traps we used to package up our Silent Auction items. Way to go Workshop! We are grateful to the local businesses who donated items and to the many people who placed bids. Our Silent Auction raised over $1500 to support our programs empowering adults living with disabilities …
