Bonny Lea Farm Raising Funds for Dream, Home to Stay

Home to Stay – Capital Campaign

Bonny Lea Farm is building a new home to support those who require a higher level of physical or medical support than we are currently able to provide. This new home will enable those with varying abilities, at any age or stage of life, to stay at home at Bonny Lea Farm longer, within their community, surrounded by their friends and with the support and dignity they deserve.

Home to Stay will offer one-level, barrier-free, supported living with 24/7 care and supports such as lifts and fully accessible private bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, and shared living spaces, as well as an elevator to the lower level health, social and programming space.

The first of its kind in Nova Scotia, Home to Stay is a model that could be used by other organizations across the province and beyond to support participants to age in place.

Building and equipping the home will cost $4.5 million. Ongoing operational funding will be provided by the Province of Nova Scotia.

Participants come from across Nova Scotia to live and work at Bonny Lea Farm. More than half are over the age of 50, nine are in their 60s, and one is in his 70s.

Their needs are changing. We need to change too.

Join us in leading the way by making a donation today to help build our dream!
