Lobster Fundraiser

Held each year on the Sunday of the civic holiday long weekend (sometimes late July, usually August), our Lobster Fundraiser is not to be missed.

From the first event which raised $3,500, over the years our Lobster Fundraiser grew into one of the South Shore’s most enjoyable lobster feasts with more than 600 people gathering in our gymnasium and open-air tent to enjoy a traditional Maritime lobster dinner and nearly 100 volunteers working together to make it a success.

Since 2020, we have held a drive-thru event, featuring a 1¼ pound lobster (hard shell) for $35, for our same great cause – raising funds to support our our quality social enterprises, independent living and enhanced programs for adults living with intellectual disabilities.

Through lobster sales and sponsorships our event raised over $30,000 last year in support of building a more inclusive community where everyone belongs. 

The fundraising success of the event is due in large part to the support of our event sponsors.
