Programs & Services

Bonny Lea Farm does not fit the participants to our programs. We shape our programs to fit our participants, focusing on providing the level of support each participant needs to reach their own potential.

We offer the following specialized programs and services:

Community Living

We offer a safe and supportive environment for life-skills development and learning for 36 participants in our eleven licensed homes: ten small option homes and a supervised apartment. We also have one respite care bed.

One of our homes is the converted original farm house with Flemming House, our new fully accessible barrier free home, across the lane; six others and the apartment are row houses situated on a courtyard on the property; while two homes are located in the Village of Chester.

At home participants plan and prepare meals, complete household chores, do their own banking and shopping, and go on many outings to the best of their ability and corresponding to their preferences.

Our two newest homes opened in the winter and spring of 2025-2026.

Employment Centre & Social Enterprises

Our employment centre helps participants develop the skills needed to seek employment in the community or explore entrepreneurial ideas. Our social enterprises offer employment options for adults with intellectual disabilities where they are paid a fair wage and all proceeds go back to our programs.

Instructors provide training and skill development opportunities, helping and teaching participants the skills necessary to perform each of the work roles.

Our current social enterprises include: Kuttin’ Kindlin’, Handy Wipers, and The Shops on Central- Garden Cafe, The Market and Bonny’s Boutique Thrift Shop. For more information click here.

Recreational Activities & Enhanced Supports

We support participants in reaching their goals through our enhanced supports tailored to each participant’s unique needs as well as a range of recreational activities in our day program.
