DESCRIPTION:Bonny Lea Farm is pleased to partner with Starfish Reunites for a joint fundraiser featuring cedar planters handcrafted by participants at Bonny Lea Farm and painted by local artists. \nProceeds from the sale of the planters will be shared between Starfish and Bonny Lea Farm. If you are in the Chester area you can see the painted planters on display at Carol Hansen’s studio at the Captain’s House. \nThe auction will be live online from September 1\, 2021 with final bids being accepted until 8:00pm September 18\, 2021. Access the Artists Reunite Auction and support these two great causes here. \nThe winning bidder will be announced at the end of an in-person fundraiser for Starfish on September 18th (more about their event here). \nIf you are far away or unsure about socializing in person\, you may wish to participate in the online auction here or by make a donation to Bonny Lea Farm here. \n— \nPersonal Dignity and Worth Through Productive Living is what Bonny Lea Farm has offered to adults living with intellectual disabilities for over 45 years.   \nStarfish Reunites (“Starfish”) offers families the opportunity to regain a sense of hope and dignity\, lost with their homes and livelihoods in war torn Syria.  By helping them to come to live in Canada they regain a feeling of safety and personal worth through productive living here as a part of our community. \nRead less
