Bonny Lea Farm Welcomes Accessible Lunenburg County Survey

Today the Lunenburg County Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee, comprising Town of Bridgewater, Town of Mahone Bay, Town of Lunenburg, Municipality of the District of Chester, and Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, has launched an Accessibility Survey to hear from people with disabilities in Lunenburg County.

“Our five municipal units in Lunenburg County are collectively working to create an Accessibility Plan for the County.  This survey allows community members to provide input that can help shape the plan and better support people living in the County today and into the future,” David Outhouse, Executive Director of Bonny Lea Farm. “We hope people take the time to participate and ensure that their voices are heard.”

The Committee’s goal is to improve accessibility in our region. To inform this process and create a regional Accessibility Plan, they need to hear from the community about their experience living with disabilities, identify barriers and possible improvements.

All people with a disability, family members or caretakers of someone with a disability, or organizations that represent people with disabilities, are invited to complete the online survey (click here), before June 30, 2020.

On behalf of the people who live and work at Bonny Lea Farm, we encourage you to join us in engaging in this process. For more information about the project, please visit their website at www.accessiblelunenburgcounty.ca, call (902) 530-2088 or send an email to AccessibilityCoordinator@modl.ca.
